AI for Law Firms

AI for Law Firms,
Built Around Confidentiality

Your staff spend hours on intake calls, reading documents and updating matters. We build AI into the practice software you already use, with client data handled under business terms, minimal exposure and a lawyer reviewing anything that matters.

The Problem

Firms Want AI's Speed Without the Confidentiality Risk

General AI tools are tempting and risky: staff paste client facts into consumer chat apps, and nothing they produce lands in the matter file.

The ABA's Formal Opinion 512 (2024) says lawyers using generative AI must keep client information confidential, understand the tools, and review their output. We build firm AI that makes those duties easier to meet: business API terms, only the data a task needs, logs of what was sent, and human review built into the workflow.

Where firms start:

Intake

Inquiries summarized, screened against your criteria and set up as leads or matters.

Document data

Key terms, dates and parties pulled from contracts and filings into the matter.

Calls and email

Client calls summarized and emails filed to the right matter automatically.

How We Handle Client Data

Business API terms

We use providers' business APIs, which don't train on your data by default, never consumer chat apps.

Minimum necessary

The model sees only the text a task requires, with identifiers removed where the task allows.

Attorney review

Work product and client communications are drafts until a lawyer approves them.

Logged and auditable

What was sent, what came back and who approved it, recorded for every run.

FAQ

Questions About AI for Law Firms

Still have a question? Call (713) 936-9330 or send us a note.

Is it ethical for lawyers to use AI?

Yes, with care. ABA Formal Opinion 512 (2024) and a growing number of state bar opinions allow generative AI if lawyers protect confidentiality, understand the tools, supervise the output and bill fairly. We design systems that support those duties; your firm remains responsible for compliance and should follow its own state's guidance.

Will client data be used to train AI models?

Not with the business APIs we build on, which exclude training by default. We confirm the provider terms for your engagement and can use zero-retention options where available.

Does this work with Clio?

Yes. Clio has a full API, and most of our legal automations write into Clio or your practice management system so everything stays in the matter.

Can AI review contracts for us?

AI can extract terms and flag clauses for a lawyer to review, which saves a lot of reading time. It doesn't replace legal judgment, and we don't build systems that give legal advice to clients without attorney review.

What does AI for a law firm cost?

A fixed-price pilot for one workflow is $3,500–$6,000. Production builds typically run $3,000–$15,000, with managed plans from $300/mo. AI usage is usually cents per document or call.
